MI cable is manufactured using single or multiple alloy heating wires as the heat source, high-purity, high-temperature, electrically fused crystalline magnesium oxide as the thermal conductive insulation, and seamless continuous stainless steel or copper tubes as the sheath, produced by special manufacturing processes. For places with strong corrosion, an outer layer of PE or low-smoke halogen-free jacket can be added.
Stainless steel sheathed series mineral insulated heating cables can meet the needs of high-temperature conditions and high heating power (up to 269W/m). The maximum withstand temperature of stainless steel sheathed heating cables can reach 600°C, and the conductor resistance range is from 28000 to 19.2Ω/km. Mineral insulated cables have excellent mechanical strength and corrosion resistance.
● Copper sheathed mineral insulated heating cable
Copper sheathed series mineral insulated heating cables can meet the needs of high-temperature conditions and long-distance pipeline heat tracing. The maximum withstand temperature of copper sheathed heating cables can reach 250°C, and the conductor resistance range is from 480 to 0.5Ω/km. For applications requiring corrosion protection or buried installation, a high-density polyethylene HDPE outer sheath (MIHC) is needed. The maximum withstand temperature of MIHC can reach 90°C. Mineral insulated cables have excellent mechanical strength.
● Copper-nickel alloy sheathed mineral insulated heating cable
Copper-nickel alloy sheathed mineral insulated heating cables can meet the needs of high-temperature conditions and long-distance pipeline heat tracing. The maximum withstand temperature of copper-nickel alloy sheathed heating cables can reach 400°C, and the conductor resistance range is from 28000 to 19.2Ω/km. Mineral insulated cables have excellent mechanical strength and corrosion resistance.
