Far Infrared Electric Heating Plate
Silicon carbide far infrared electric heater is a radiant heater. After being powered on, it can form a strong wide-spectrum directional radiation in the vertical space. It effectively converts point energy into far infrared radiation energy, directly transfers it to the dried object, quickly converts it into molecular thermal motion, dries from the inside out, achieves rapid drying and shaping, and obtains significant energy-saving effects.
Far infrared electric heating plate uses a silicon carbide plate coated with metal oxide (i.e., far infrared coating) as the radiation element. Electric heating wires are installed in the element holes (or slots), and a thick layer of insulation, refractory, and heat insulation materials is placed at the bottom of the element. Then a metal shell is installed, and wiring terminals are installed for power supply. The silicon carbide has a room temperature flexural strength of 45 MPa, a high-temperature flexural strength of 50 MPa at 1000°C, a volume density of 2.7-2.75 g/cm³, a thermal expansion rate of 0.42-0.48% at 900°C, and a thermal conductivity (at 350°C) of 10.3-16.7 W/m·K.
When far infrared radiation hits an object, it can be absorbed, reflected, or transmitted. The material being heated and dried absorbs far infrared radiation energy simultaneously at a certain depth inside and on the surface molecules, generating a self-heating effect, causing the solvent or water molecules to evaporate, and heating evenly, thus avoiding deformation and quality changes due to different thermal expansion degrees, and maintaining the appearance, physical and mechanical properties, fastness, and color of the material intact.
It is widely used in industries such as automobiles, textiles, printing and dyeing, dyes, papermaking, bicycles, refrigerators, washing machines, chemical fibers, ceramics, electrostatic spraying, grain, food, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, tobacco, etc., to achieve ultra-fast drying. Especially suitable for large drying rooms, drying ovens, and conveyor drying lines.
