1. BGY2-220/8 Explosion-Proof Electric Heater Application:
The BGY2 series sheathed flameproof electric heater is used for heating hydraulic and lubricating oil in hydraulic lubrication devices, and can also be used for heating non-corrosive gases or liquids. This model heater is suitable for places with harsh external environments or special requirements.
BGY2-220/8 Explosion-Proof Electric Heater Features
1. The BGY2 series sheathed flameproof electric heater improves the junction box based on the SRYY6 series heater, giving the heater flameproof capability, with explosion-proof rating up to ExdⅡBT/CT 1-4. The heater adopts multiple U-shaped electric heating elements with multiple special-shaped sheaths, featuring large heat dissipation area, fast heat transfer, and long service life. It is easy to replace and maintain.
2. Since the heater uses multiple U-shaped electric heating elements with multiple special-shaped sheaths, if a certain heating element in the assembly is damaged or faulty, only the problematic single heating element needs to be replaced without replacing the entire heating source, greatly reducing the user's subsequent investment.
3. The surface load design of BGY2 series heaters is determined according to customer needs, generally choosing as close to 0.7 W/cm² as possible.
4. BGY2 series heaters can be optionally equipped with liquid expansion thermostat, manual reset, AC contactor and other electrical equipment. If the heater needs temperature regulation function, only the temperature control device needs to be installed. Customers should add the letter "T" after the model when ordering; if automatic constant temperature function is required, the heater should be equipped with thermostat and contactor, and the letter "TH" should be added after the model when ordering.
5. Working voltage tolerance: not greater than 1.1 times its rated value. The casing should be effectively grounded.
6. Working environment: relative humidity not greater than 95%.
7. Heater material: carbon steel or stainless steel.

3. Usage, Maintenance and Precautions:
1. Dimension "B" in the outline drawing must be fully immersed in the oil to avoid burning the assembly.
2. The heated medium should be non-corrosive.
3. When melting solid oils such as asphalt and paraffin, reduce the voltage for use, then raise to rated voltage after melting to prevent excessive heat concentration and reduce component life.
4. If carbon deposits are found on the surface of the heating tube, remove the carbon completely before use to avoid reduced efficiency or even burning of the assembly.
5. The assembly should be stored in a dry place. If the insulation resistance drops below 1 megohm after long-term storage, dry in an oven at about 200°C for several hours (or apply low voltage to the assembly for several hours) to restore insulation resistance.
