Cast Aluminum Heating Plate
1. The cast aluminum heating plate is made by casting aluminum around the heating element. It is mainly used for plastic extruders, injection molding machines, and various metal outer diameter heating. This product features easy installation, low heat loss, fast heat transfer, and energy saving. It is now widely used in rubber/plastic machinery, chemical/food machinery, electronic/packaging machinery, and other industries.
2. Technical Characteristics
The metal cast heater uses tubular electric heating elements as the heating body, which are bent into shape, placed in a mold, and centrifugally cast with high-quality metal alloy materials as the shell to form various shapes, such as round, flat, right-angle, air-cooled, water-cooled, and other special shapes. After precision machining, it can closely fit the heated object.
The surface load of cast aluminum electric heaters can reach 2.5-4.5 W/cm², with a maximum working temperature between 300-450°C;
The surface load of cast copper heaters can reach 3.5-5.0 W/cm², with a maximum working temperature between 500-600°C;
The surface load of cast iron heaters can reach 4.5-6.0 W/cm², with a maximum working temperature between 550-700°C.
The cast aluminum heating plate is a heater with uniform heat distribution. The metal alloy with good thermal conductivity ensures uniform surface temperature, eliminating hot and cold spots on the equipment. It has the advantages of long life, good thermal insulation, strong mechanical properties, corrosion resistance, and magnetic field resistance. Adding insulation devices to the outer heat dissipation surface and sintering infrared rays on the inner heat dissipation surface can save 35% of electricity.
3. Precautions for Using Cast Aluminum Heating Plate
1. The working voltage must not exceed 10% of the rated value; the relative humidity of the air should not exceed 95%, and there should be no explosive or corrosive gases.
2. The wiring part should be placed outside the heating layer and insulation layer, and the shell should be effectively grounded; avoid contact with corrosive, explosive media, and moisture; the lead wires should be able to withstand the temperature of the wiring part and the heating load for a long time, and avoid excessive force when tightening the wiring screws.
3. The metal cast heater should be stored in a dry place. If the insulation resistance is lower than 1MΩ due to long-term storage, it can be restored by baking in an oven at about 200°C for 5-6 hours, or by reducing the voltage and energizing for heating until the insulation resistance is restored.
4. The metal cast heater should be properly positioned and fixed, and the effective heating area must be closely attached to the heated object. No dry burning is allowed. If dust or contaminants are found on the surface, they should be cleaned promptly before reuse to avoid affecting heat dissipation and shortening the service life.
