Working Principle of Circulating Thermal Oil Electric Heater
Working Principle

The thermal oil electric heater is a special industrial furnace that uses an electric heater as the heating element and thermal oil as the heat carrier. It utilizes a circulating oil pump to force liquid phase circulation, transferring heat energy to the heat-using equipment, and then returning to reheat in a direct-flow manner. Thermal oil, also known as organic heat carrier or heat transfer oil, has been used as an intermediate heat transfer medium in industrial heat exchange processes for over fifty years. An organic heat carrier boiler is a new type of special boiler that uses heat transfer fluid as the heating medium. It has the characteristics of low pressure and high temperature operation. With the development of industrial production and the advancement of science and technology, organic heat carrier boilers have been continuously developed and applied. Although the working pressure of organic heat carrier boilers is relatively low, the temperature of the heat transfer fluid inside the boiler is high, and most of them are flammable and explosive. Once leakage occurs during operation, it may cause fire, explosion, and even casualties and property losses. Therefore, the safe operation and management of organic heat carrier boilers must be highly valued. The thermal oil electric heater is a new type, safe, high-efficiency, energy-saving, low-pressure (atmospheric or lower pressure) special industrial furnace that can provide high-temperature heat energy. It uses thermal oil as the heat carrier, circulates the heat carrier through a hot oil pump, and transfers heat to the heat-using equipment.

The electric heating thermal oil furnace system consists of explosion-proof electric heater, organic heat carrier boiler, heat exchanger (if any), on-site explosion-proof operation box, hot oil pump, expansion tank, etc., combined into a skid. Users only need to connect the power supply, inlet and outlet pipes of the medium, and some electrical interfaces to use it.

Working Principle of Thermal Oil Electric Heater

For the thermal oil electric heater, heat is generated and transmitted by the electric heating element immersed in the thermal oil. Using thermal oil as the medium and a circulation pump, the thermal oil is forced to undergo liquid phase circulation, transferring heat to one or more heat-using equipment. After being unloaded by the heat-using equipment, it returns to the heater through the circulation pump, absorbs heat again, and transfers it to the heat-using equipment. This cycle repeats, achieving continuous heat transfer, raising the temperature of the heated object, and meeting the process requirements of heating.
