Maintenance of Tubular Electric Heaters
1. SRY2-1/SRY2-2 Threaded Tubular Electric Heater, when heating air, the elements should be arranged crosswise and evenly to ensure good heat dissipation and allow the flowing air to be fully heated.
  2. The wiring part should be placed outside the insulation layer to avoid contact with corrosive, explosive media, and moisture.
  3. The lead wires should be able to withstand the temperature of the wiring part and the heating load for a long time. When tightening the wiring screws, avoid excessive force.
  4. SRY2-1/SRY2-2 Threaded Tubular Electric Heater, the magnesium oxide powder at the outlet end of the electric heating tube should be protected from pollutants and moisture infiltration at the usage site to prevent leakage accidents.

Instructions:

  1) The working voltage must not exceed 1.1 times its rated value, and the housing should be effectively grounded.
  2) Dimension "B" in the diagram must be fully immersed in oil (and checked regularly) to avoid burning. The heated oil should be free of corrosive gases.
  3) The mounting hole size for this electric heater is φ65mm.
  4) This model heater is designed according to JB2379-78 flowing oil standard, with a surface load of 2-3.8 w/cm2.
  5) When selecting, the heater size should be determined based on the actual dimensions of the heating medium.

Precautions:

1. Dimension "B" in the outline drawing must be fully immersed in oil to avoid burning the component. The heated oil should be non-corrosive.
2. When melting solid oils such as asphalt and paraffin, use reduced voltage until melted, then increase to rated voltage to prevent heat concentration and reduce component lifespan.
3. If carbon deposits are found on the tube surface, they must be removed before reuse to avoid reduced efficiency or even burning of the component.
4. Components should be stored in a dry place. If the insulation resistance drops below 1 megohm due to long-term storage, SRY2/SRY3/SRY4 can be dried in an oven at about 200°C for several hours (or apply low voltage to the component for several hours) to restore insulation resistance.
