An explosion-proof electric heater is a device that converts electrical energy into thermal energy for use in hazardous locations. It is used to heat, maintain temperature, or warm flowing or stationary liquid, gaseous, or solid media.

Product Features

1. Small size, high heating power;
2. Can heat various media in various occasions, such as explosion-proof environments;
3. Heating temperature can typically reach 720°C;
4. The heating system can be fully automated, including control via a DCS system;
5. Long service life, with multiple protection systems, safe and reliable.

Working Principle

A fluid explosion-proof electric heater consumes electrical energy and converts it into thermal energy to heat the required material. During operation, the low-temperature fluid medium enters the input port under pressure through the pipeline, flows along the specific heat exchange channels inside the electric heating container, following paths designed based on fluid thermodynamics principles, and carries away the high-temperature thermal energy generated by the electric heating elements during operation, thereby raising the temperature of the heated medium. The outlet of the electric heater provides the high-temperature medium required by the process. The internal control system of the electric heater automatically adjusts the output power based on the temperature sensor signal at the outlet, ensuring uniform medium temperature at the outlet. When the heating element overheats, its independent overheat protection device immediately cuts off the heating power supply, preventing the heated material from overheating, coking, deteriorating, or carbonizing, which could otherwise damage the heating element, effectively extending the service life of the electric heater. Application Scope
Typical applications of fluid explosion-proof electric heaters mainly include:
1. Heating of chemical materials in the chemical industry, drying of certain powders under specific pressure, chemical processes, and spray drying.
2. Heating of hydrocarbons, including crude oil, heavy oil, fuel oil, thermal oil, lubricating oil, paraffin, etc.
3. Heating of process water, superheated steam, molten salt, nitrogen (air), water gas, and other fluids that require heating.
4. Zone 1 and Zone 2 hazardous gas locations;
5. IIA, IIB Class T1 to T4 groups of explosive gas or vapor environments;
6. Due to the advanced explosion-proof structure, the equipment can be widely used in chemical, military, petroleum, natural gas, offshore platforms, ships, mining areas, and other places requiring explosion-proof measures.

Main Applications in the Mechanical Electric Heating Industry

The explosion-proof electric heater is an efficient, energy-saving, environmentally friendly, and safe explosion-proof industrial electric heating furnace developed based on advanced foreign electric heater technology, providing high-voltage thermal energy. This electric heating furnace operates by using electrical energy as a power source to convert its internal high-voltage temperature system into thermal energy.
Generally speaking, the explosion-proof electric heating furnace uses thermal oil as the heat carrier. The internal high-voltage temperature system, through the circulation pump of the thermal oil and forced processing of electrical energy, transfers the heat from the internal high-voltage temperature to one or more electric heating devices. After passing through the transition function of the high-voltage temperature system in the electric heating device, the thermal oil begins a new heating work cycle, i.e., returning through the circulation pump to the electric heating furnace for secondary heat absorption and transferring the heat to the internal high-voltage temperature system of the electric heating furnace. Through this cyclic operation, the electric heating furnace continuously transfers heat, allowing the internal high-voltage temperature system to obtain a sustained high-temperature energy source, thereby meeting the heating requirements of the heated medium during high-temperature processes.
The characteristics of explosion-proof electric heaters in the mechanical electric heating industry include the following aspects:
1. It can achieve continuous transfer of the internal high-voltage temperature system, ensuring that the internal high-voltage temperature system of the electric heating device uses electrical energy to obtain a higher temperature energy source, meeting the high-temperature heating requirements of the medium during operation and maximizing its effect.
2. This equipment has a precise structure, light volume, light weight, and convenient installation. During heating, it does not produce harmful pollution to the surrounding environment and can achieve relatively high heating temperatures and efficiency at relatively low working pressures.
3. High level of intelligence. Relevant technical personnel from China Electric Heater Network have adopted an advanced intelligent heating working mode, i.e., by setting the original temperature of the high-voltage medium inside the gas electric heater during operation. In experiments, this temperature control accuracy can reach a range of ±2°C to ±0.2°C.
4. The internal high-voltage system of this equipment can provide alarm signals such as operation, high temperature, fault, and shutdown to the DCS system, and can also accept automatic and shutdown operation commands from the DCS. Moreover, reliable and safe monitoring devices have been added to the electric heater system. However, the price of this electric heater is relatively high.
5. The electrical equipment has multiple associated interfaces, allowing effective monitoring of the thermal oil pump, thermal oil temperature and flow, and internal high-voltage pressure at any time. This enables the explosion-proof electric heater to achieve more energy-saving, environmentally friendly, and efficient ideal reforms.
