An explosion-proof electric heater is a device that converts electrical energy into heat energy for use in hazardous areas. It is used to heat, maintain temperature, or heat up flowing or stationary liquid, gas, or solid media.
Product Features
1. Small size, high heating power;2. Can heat various media in various occasions, such as explosion-proof areas;
3. Heating temperature can usually reach 720°C;
4. The heating system can be fully automated, including control via a DCS system;
5. Long service life, with multiple protection systems, safe and reliable.
Working Principle
A fluid explosion-proof electric heater consumes electrical energy and converts it into heat energy to heat the material to be heated. During operation, the low-temperature fluid medium enters the input port through the pipeline under pressure, flows along the specific heat exchange channel inside the electric heating container, following the path designed based on fluid thermodynamics principles, and carries away the high-temperature thermal energy generated by the electric heating elements during operation, thereby raising the temperature of the heated medium. The outlet of the electric heater obtains the high-temperature medium required by the process. The internal control system of the electric heater automatically adjusts the output power of the electric heater based on the temperature sensor signal at the outlet, ensuring uniform temperature of the medium at the outlet. When the heating element overheats, the independent overheat protection device immediately cuts off the heating power supply to prevent the heated material from overheating, which could cause coking, deterioration, carbonization, or even damage to the heating element, effectively extending the service life of the electric heater. Application ScopeTypical applications of fluid explosion-proof electric heaters mainly include:
1. Heating of chemical materials in the chemical industry, drying of certain powders under certain pressures, chemical processes, and spray drying.
2. Heating of hydrocarbons, including crude oil, heavy oil, fuel oil, thermal oil, lubricating oil, paraffin, etc.
3. Process water, superheated steam, molten salt, nitrogen (air), water gas, and other fluids that need to be heated.
4. Zone 1 and Zone 2 hazardous gas locations;
5. IIA and IIB class T1 to T4 groups of explosive gas or vapor environments;
6. Due to the advanced explosion-proof structure, the equipment can be widely used in chemical, military, petroleum, natural gas, offshore platforms, ships, mining areas, and other places requiring explosion-proof measures.
Main Uses in the Mechanical Electric Heating Industry
An explosion-proof electric heater is an efficient, energy-saving, environmentally friendly, and safe explosion-proof industrial electric heating furnace developed based on advanced foreign electric heater technology. This electric heating furnace uses electrical energy as a power source to convert its internal high-voltage temperature system into thermal energy.Generally speaking, an explosion-proof electric heating furnace uses thermal oil as the heat carrier. The internal high-voltage temperature system, through the circulation pump of the thermal oil and forced processing by electrical energy, transfers the heat from the internal high-voltage temperature to one or more electric heating devices. After passing through the transition function in the high-voltage temperature system of the electric heating device, the thermal oil begins a new heating cycle, i.e., it returns to the electric heating furnace through the circulation pump to absorb heat again and transfer it to the internal high-voltage temperature system of the electric heating furnace. Through this cyclic operation, the electric heating furnace continuously transfers heat, allowing the internal high-voltage temperature system to obtain a continuous high-temperature energy source, thereby meeting the heating requirements of the heated medium during high-temperature processes.
The characteristics of explosion-proof electric heaters in the mechanical electric heating industry include the following aspects:
1. It can achieve continuous transfer of the internal high-voltage temperature system, ensuring that the internal high-voltage temperature system of the electric heating device uses electrical energy to obtain a high-temperature energy source, meeting the high-temperature heating requirements of the medium during operation and maximizing its effect.
2. This equipment has a precise structure, small volume, light weight, and is easy to install. During heating, it does not produce harmful pollution to the surrounding environment and can achieve relatively high heating temperatures and efficiency at relatively low working pressures.
3. High level of intelligence. Relevant technical personnel from China Electric Heater Network have adopted an advanced intelligent heating working mode, i.e., by setting the original temperature of the high-voltage temperature medium inside the gas electric heater during operation. In experiments, this temperature control accuracy can reach a range of ±2°C to ±0.2°C.
4. The internal high-voltage system of this equipment can provide alarm signals such as running, high temperature, fault, and shutdown to the DCS system, and can also accept automatic and shutdown operation commands from the DCS. Moreover, a reliable and safe monitoring device has been added to the electric heater system. However, the price of this type of electric heater is relatively high.
5. The electrical equipment has multiple related interfaces, allowing effective monitoring of the thermal oil pump, thermal oil temperature and flow, and internal high-voltage temperature pressure at any time. This achieves the ideal reform of explosion-proof electric heaters to be more energy-saving, environmentally friendly, and efficient.
